Sweet tooth gets his or hers daily dose when Cloetta´s logistics works. Wireless stock control solution ADF Online delivered by Optiscan makes sure for its own part that candy manufacturer´s business operates efficiently.
Cloetta Sverige AB utilizes wireless stock control solution ADF Online which is operated by handheld terminals. Among other things the solution manages the receiving and the stock flow from the production.
Cloetta decided to acquire ADF Online because of the stock flow volumes. According to IT Manager Bengt Sjöberg the system controls daily a large amount of pallets.
- ADF Online was integrated with IFS Applications system handling stock and customer orders, because we wanted to enhance the traceability of the shipments and to simplify the handling processes.
Sjöberg sees that the simplifications of processes succeed as planned. Accuracy has increased, although there still occur a certain amount of errors committed by the users.
- Warehouse logistics is a vital function for Cloetta. If the logistics doesn´t work, the revenues cease. Therefore the system handling customer orders combined with ADF Online are of the utmost importance for the success of the company.
Optiscan - obvious partner
According to Sjöberg Cloetta´s cooperation with Optiscan goes as far as 1998. When it was time to upgrade company´s solution to more modern technical platform, it was easy in Sjöberg´s mind to choose a familiar partner to help with the project.
- The quality of the cooperation has been good, he emphasizes.
Sjöberg´s view is that barcodes are a good way to gather information, because barcodes enable a faster way to register data. Sjöberg says that barcodes don´t resolve all the challenges related to the process, but with them it is easier to manage the process, because the reporting is more accurate and the amount of errors decreases.
- The most important thing for us was that process could be simplified as much as possible, Sjöberg notes.
