Optiscan Group Completes Acquisition of Abakus Ohjelmistot Oy

Optiscan´s Abakus MobileWork Suite is a comprehensive completely paperless mobile work management solution. It provides customer process-oriented tools for management, tracking and reporting. Focused on real-life work processes and ease-of-use, Abakus enables organizations of all sizes to achieve real-time visibility and management of the mobile work force. Real-time collaboration between employees and third parties is an essential benefit of the solution.

As a result of the acquisition the rights to the Abakus platform are transferred to Optiscan and the Abakus employees have joined the Optiscan Group team. This strengthens Optiscan´s already strong market position as a supplier of mobile work and warehouse operations´ management solutions.

Abakus Mobile Platform includes four different applications.

Abakus Warehouse provides an end-to-end solution for management of all warehouse activities. The solution strengthens and complements existing warehouse management systems.

Abakus FieldWork is an application particularly developed for daily reporting and management of maintenance, logistics and customer services operations for mobile workers.

Abakus PublicServices includes among other services for managing homecare employees.

Abakus Manufacturing application is a flexible tool for planning and managing diverse manufacturing and construction processes, even when the back end systems are not available for the mobile staff.

All applications of Abakus Mobile Suite include automatic time reporting, full access to work instructions, documentation and spare parts ordering, by mobile phone or mobile terminal as well as secured third party access to selected data.
