Frequently asked questions about the Honeywell Xenon Ultra

What is the difference between the Xenon Ultra 1960g and 1962g?

The 1960g is a corded scanner (USB, keyboard wedge or RS-232) with a 5-year warranty. The 1962g is a cordless Bluetooth model with up to 100 m range to the base, powered by a battery or a supercapacitor.

What is a supercapacitor?

A battery-free power source that charges fully in under a minute and lasts 500,000 charge cycles. One charge covers about 450 scans, so it suits checkouts where the scanner rests in the base between uses.

Which scan model should I choose?

SR suits most applications. HD reads small, dense codes, for example on pharmacy and electronics products. XR is designed for longer reading distances.

Does the Xenon Ultra work with my old Xenon XP cable?

Yes. The Xenon Ultra 1960g uses the same cable as the Xenon XP 1950g.

What is the warranty on the Xenon Ultra?

1960g: 5 years. 1962g: 3 years, with 5 years on the supercapacitor and 1 year on the Li-ion battery.
