Department stores in control

To handle the material flows and to ease product order management Optiscan has developed Abakus solution. With Abakus it is possible to create product or item orders automatically. Automated orders require that a responsible person has predefined product-specific margins to stock, and when there is only a certain amount of products left in the stock, the order is sent to logistics center automatically. Users are also able to place an order to Abakus system with Voice technology, which enables hands free operation in the department store.

Usage of all products and items is registered to Abakus either with Android handhelds or with Voice technology. This way stock remains always updated and, most importantly, invoicing information is correctly registered to the right user organization. With the web user-interface it is possible to manage product information such as stock margins and up-to-date balances. Using Abakus orders, usage and inventories are fast and easy, so users can concentrate on their actual work. Without Abakus ordering products can be arduous if order data is registered manually and  is entered into the information system.

Abakus system’s integrated inventory tool helps to manage inventory more efficiently and the number of errors remain close to zero. The system is also useful when following the floating assets tied up to warehouses and department stocks.
